Born ages ago from fire and magma,part of a huge mountain range
folded up by the power of earth,
eroded by time, rain and cold.
Spent millions of years under the sea
got washed up, dried out in the sun
found by a little girl walking along the shore.
Now decorating the edge of my garden pond.
What a career.
