I found this mini wasp nest under a big rock. The wasp queen had built it for her very first hive members which were still in larval stage. After the queen was gone, I opened the little paper ball and saw big fat white larvae, each placed in perfectly symmetrical comb chambers, constantly begging for food. I am sorry to say I had to destroy the nest but I honestly do not want a wasp colony in my yard.
